Ivory Tower

A group of individuals working in isolation to create something that others will need use. Those looking up at the Ivory Tower group see people working at a level that does not match the reality on the ground and when the work is complete these people will look the other way saying it is not relevant to me.

In a lot of these cases the output becomes a recommendation or poster by the coffee machine that people acknowledge as a good idea that has not match to current reality.

Can be solved by breaking down barriers and making those outside of the immediate group feel as though they are contributing and taking care to make sure all understand what is being done. Don't wait until the end to start communicating as it will be too late.

The key is Education and Awareness!
