EA Frameworks

EA Frameworks are a toolset that help experienced enterprise architects. What they don't provide is an automated process for building an Enterprise Architecture or replace the need for experienced enterprise architects.

An enterprise architecture team using a framework should be able to:

  • design consistent solution architectures
  • reduce design and implementation timescales
  • make use and record best practices and standards
  • stop re-inventing of the wheel
  • provide hooks for management and governance of architecture
  • provide a process to transalate business requirments into IT architecture
  • create an enterprise model
